Today in San Francisco is the official launch of the Burning Man Project non-profit.
The change in operation from a private LLC to a nonprofit organization is tremendous as it requires Burning Man to be more transparent in their business operations with finances for the event to be documented and reported to the Internal Revenue Service.
The launch of is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. today at United Nations Plaza.
