Update (3/11/2010): The original map has been pulled off the originating server and is no longer visible. So I replaced what as originally embedded above with this aerial image of Black Rock City. Ain't it pretty? I made a back up of the map that can be seen below.
Well it's the end of an era. If you can see the image above it's what's left of our Platial Frappr map, the community (drink!) based map that illustrated where the BURNcast audience was from.
It was a neat tool and I got to meet many fans through it. But it had a lot of bugs and didn't work a great deal of the time. At any rate, it was really fun while it lasted. I'd say stick a pin it now, but unfortunately I'm told it won't last much longer. If anybody can suggest a good replacement for this kind of service, I'd be totally into it so please let me know.
Below is the archive (not as pretty as the original) but meh. It's more than just a pretty face! I mean it's better than the Frappr one because it displays all the pins on the map, not just the ones who took the time to fill out a profile, insert a photo or leave a shout out. So it's actually more accurate. What's also really cool is that you can look at the map in Google Earth! Here's the file to use.
