After several months of negotiations Burning Man signs an exclusive deal with event promoter Goldenvoice which also includes Coachella in its roster."We used to do all our event planning in-house because we like to keep things within the *community*," says Larry Harvey, Chairman of the Board of the Black Rock City LLC.
"It was tough coming to this decision but the Goldenvoice folks are awesome and we can't wait to collaborate," Harvey continues.
This development quells persistent rumors that the event organizers were in negotiations with Live Nation.
When asked if rumors that the Burning Man festival would be moving its location from the dry lake bed in the Black Rock Desert to a venue within 20 minutes of the city of Las Vegas Harvey demurred and said: "Well it seems to me, that all real communities grow out of a shared confrontation with survival. Communities are not produced by sentiment or mere goodwill. They grow out of a shared struggle. Our situation in the desert is an incubator for community."
We'll drink to that!

You give FUCKO kudos as a community (drink!) participant? And you don't include Rhino? That guy gives his heart and soul to the burner community. For no pay. Just because he lives in the backwaters with the hillbillies doesn't mean he's not a burner extraordinaire!
